Pubs ‘to stay shut’ in Southport as resort set to head back into Tier 3

23rd November 2020

Southport is thought to be heading back into Tier 3 restrictions once the National lockdown ends next week, with pubs and restaurants set to remain closed.

It’s been reported the Liverpool City Region will return to its former Tier 3 measures without exception according to regional health chiefs.

Shops, gyms, hairdressers, beauty salons and leisure centres will be open.

Hospitality venues such as pubs and restaurants will be forced to close, with only delivery and takeaway services permitted.

Attending indoor and outdoor sport events is banned.

People should avoid travelling outside their area except for work, education or health reasons.

People should work from home where possible.
