Members of the public will be able to watch the meeting of Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust board online next month.

Board members have been meeting virtually without the public present since the Covid-19 pandemic put a temporary halt to face-to-face meetings.

On Wednesday 2 September members of the public will be able to watch the Board’s deliberations as they happen online for the first time.

Board chair Neil Masom said: “We have the technology in place to broadcast our meetings which also means more people now have the opportunity to see how we take decisions about the services our trust provides.”

This link to join the meeting can also be found on the board meetings page of the Trust website. The meeting starts at 9am and will run until 11.30am. Observers can join at any time.

Questions to the Board may be submitted by members of the public but they must be received at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting. Please send them to the Trust’s company secretary at Southport hospital or email soh-tr.corporategovernance@nhs.net.
