Preparing for Valentine’s Day at June the Florist Southport

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and like many other florists, the orders have already started coming in! It takes over a week in the shop to prepare for one of the single busiest days in the floral industry.

In early January Liz and her team start work to create ideas for Valentines inspired bouquets, hand-tied’s and arrangements.

She also looks back on the previous year’s sales to gauge the amount of roses she will need to order.

By mid January Liz begins to work with her suppliers to secure a good rate on the most popular Valentine’s Day Flower – the red rose. This ensures she is able to sell her red roses at a very competitive price.

June the Florist also have 3-4 florists in the shop making up hand-tieds, bouquets and arrangements for the last minute purchaser!!!
