Cars are being forced to turn around after a highway cockup following a hole appearing in a quiet Southport street.
A massive pothole has emerged on Devonshire Road in Southport with the road being forced to shut completely due to no cars being able to pass.
Access has been left for residents at the Warren Road end of the road but most drivers are using the street as a cut through and don’t have any warning that the road is shut.
This is causing chaos forcing drivers to execute difficult three point turn manoeuvres to try and escape the road.
