Merseyside Police is appealing for vigilance around Royal Mail post boxes in the Southport area overnight.
This follows thefts from mail boxes in locations including: High Park Place, Knowsley Road, Chestnut Street and Tithebarn Road.
If anyone is seen acting suspiciously near to post boxes please report to Police via 999 emergency or 101 non emergency.
If anyone has information regarding these crimes please telephone Merseyside Police on 101 or crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Residents are advised to be careful posting valuable items and to consider sending such items via a post office.
