Police tackle selfish landscape gardeners who ignored coronavirus ban

25th March 2020

Police have rushed to reprimand a group of selfish landscape gardeners, who were working out in the open, despite the specific government Covid-19 ban.

Pensioners in Trafalgar Road Birkdale fearing virus spread, called police after seeing three men working in a large neighbouring garden. Fearing this reckless labouring activity would flout government coronavirus restrictions in place to reduce contagion, the residents called Merseyside Police.

Officers promptly attended the scene and gave guidance to the inconsiderate labourers before dispersing.

Our hard-pressed NHS needs ‘help not hindrance’ via public stupidity

People have been urged to avoid putting any additional pressure on the NHS by being careful when carrying out DIY or gardening activities during the coronavirus lockdown. Dangerous DIY/gardening work (especially use of power tools in reckless hands) could result in injury and take up precious NHS resources at a time of national crisis, surgeons have warned.

UK Government precautions are in place to save lives –  this is not a game!
