Police stop checks in Southport town centre

Police are pulling vehicles over on Mornington Road go check if journeys are essential.

Drivers have been pulled over a number of times this week in the town centre with them reporting that officers are checking to see if their journeys comply with current lockdown procedures.

Two police cars have recently pulled over a vehicle outside the sexual health clinic on mornington road this morning however this is not thought to be linked to those patrols.

Police stopped the driver on suspected driving offences.
