Police set up a roadside speed trap in New Cut Lane, Birkdale, Southport, around 9.30am this morning Thursday 31 December 2015

A speed camera sat on a trypod is catching speeding motorists heading out of Southport towards Halsall.

Drivers caught speeding will receive fines/points by post.
