Police officers from Lancashire Constabulary assisted by the National Police Air Service helicopter were this afternoon searching for a man wearing only Union Jack boxers in Banks, Friday 9 October 2015.
At around 2.45pm a female motorist reported seeing a ginger haired man aged around 55 running across Southport New Road and down the side of the Sluice dressed only in Union Jack boxers.
Police officers (below) could be seen searching the banks of the Sluice.
Police were unable to locate the man and called the search to an end at 3.35pm.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lancashire Constabulary on 101.
