Emergency services have closed off Alexandra Road after a horrendous crash near to the junction of Albert Road this afternoon.
Police and fire crews were calling following the crash between a car and a biker leaving the rider with severe injuries.
The road remains closed and paramedics have taken the biker to hospital where his condition is described as serious.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
