This weekend, officers acting on intelligence were able to stop a group of around 70 people going onto the beach at Weld Road in Southport,for what is believed to have been an organised illegal rave.
With more warm weather forecast for the rest of the week, including the hottest day of the year so far, we will continue to monitor our beaches and parks for similar activity, which can lead to disorder.
