Detectives have been called to Liverpool Road in Birkdale this morning to investigate why was reported as an abandoned motorbike.
Officers stopped to assess the expensive motorbike after it had been left in a suspicious position against a garden wall opposite the Tesco Express store in Birkdale.
Neighbours along the busy stretch reported that the bike had been there for a number of hours and had yet to be retrieved by its unknown owner.
Police left the scene shortly after investigating and the bike has since been removed, OTS understands.
