Police are hunting a sophisticated scammer who is targeting fast food restaurants across Southport by confusing counter staff with fake notes and coins in order to launder money.
The Male has been caught on CCTV and Police say they are eager to speak with the man in relation to an incident at the Subway fast food outlet in Birkdale this evening.
The man entered the store and according to bosses “scammed a member of staff by confusing them with notes and cash. Does anyone recognise him as this was done very professionally.”
