Police were called to Southport and Ormskirk Hospital after a man became aggresive towards staff, 5pm, Tuesday 3 March.
A witness said: “The man was trying to light a cigarette while inside the hospital, and became aggressive after he told to leave the building”.
Five police officers attended, but were unable to find him.
Stephanie Williams on Twitter reported seeing three police cars heading towards the hospital.
She tweeted: “3 police cars have just raced to #Southport Hospital. What’s going on?”
