Officers have closed Bold Street in Southport Town Centre this evening (Wednesday) following what has been described as a ‘serious incident.’
Police have cordoned off the road between the former Casa Italia restaurant and Kokomo Wine Bar shortly after 5.30pm this evening.
Two police cars and a matrix vehicle were called to the scene and officers were immediately put on patrol, setting up a crime scene and turning away curious passers by.
An update from Merseyside Police is expected shortly.
