Ash closed following RTC involving police car and VW Golf
Emergency services were called to help one of their own at the junction of Scarisbrick New Road/Ash Street, Southport following reports of an RTC, Monday 16 May 2016.
It was reported to OTSNews.co.uk that a police car had collided with a brand new 16 plate Volkwagon Golf R which was driving through green light at the time and that the Golf had only been on the road three days.
No serious injuries, despited airbags being activated. Both cars will now be taken to a secure police compound under police escort.
The junction remains closed – 9.30pm.
