Two cars have been involved in a serious collision in Birkdale this afternoon in what appears to be a high speed crash.
A Toyota and a BMW collided with each other on Liverpool Road in Birkdale just after 1.30pm this afternoon.
Police were called to the junction with St Peters Road following the smash. It’s not thought either driver suffered serious injuries however the impact was so great it has written off one of the vehicles.
Police remain on scene and recovery vehicles have been called to take the damaged cars away.
