Police arrest man drunk and down on diesel

Police arrest man drunk and down on diesel.

A drunk man who needed an extra pint was stopped from sipping unleaded petrol by concerned passers by after he stumbled into Tesco Express this evening (Friday 21 April 2017).

Community support officers were called to the scene on Albert Road – opposite Southport Police Station – earlier this evening after an intoxicated man in his early fifties became a potential hazard by stumbling around the petrol station forecourt.

By the time officers arrived the man had already been ejected by staff after attempted theft from the chocolate counter.

Officers caught up with stumbling drunk further down alter road and delt with him accordingly.
