Staffordshire Police is appealing for the public to report any sightings of a missing teenage girl.

Kirsty Lafay, aged 16, from Wilmot Drive in Newcastle, was reported missing from home on Thursday 1 October.

She was last seen by her family the previous evening, Wednesday 30 September.

It is believed Kirsty may well be in the Lancashire area.

Kirsty is described as white, 5ft 7in tall with a slim build and has brown eyes and long, dark brown hair.

She is believed to be wearing white skinny jeans and a black top.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “We consider Kirsty to be vulnerable and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“A detailed search to locate her is now underway and we are liaising with colleagues at Lancashire Police.

“Anyone who has seen Kirsty or has any information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 480 of October 1.”
