Police advice for the Southport Air Show 2018
With just 4 days to go, we are counting down to this year’s Southport Air Show, starting this Friday evening 6th July, with the world famous and ever popular Red Arrows, and continuing Saturday 7th and Sunday the 8th.
With the prospect of three days of uninterrupted flying due to this incredible stretch of good weather, this could be the biggest attendance at Southport Air Show ever! So if your are driving into Southport from the Preston and the north along the A59, from Liverpool and the south along the Formby bypass or from Ormskirk and the east along Southport Road, the message as ever is…SET OFF EARLY!
Queuing will start early, so be up and on the road early to try and avoid the queues. More info about traffic control and road closures on Marine Drive will come later this week.
