Plans cooking away for former Birkdale Village florist
June’s florist has closed its doors for good and builders are already cutting out the site ahead of a potential bid to transform it into a kitchen show room.
Although no concrete plans have been submitted to the council OTS News understands from contractors on site that the building will be totally gutted and new wiring set up by the buildings letting agency to make it more attractive to potential bidders.
It’s thought the set up will be favourable to a showroom style with rumours abound that kitchen and appliance chains are looking at lining up a bid.
If true it means bar owners in the area will be able to breathe a sigh of relief at there being no further competition to an already bursting bar scene in the village.
