Pine Pixies Pre-School children recently went on a Forest School trip to the local woods behind St Luke’s Church in Formby.
St Luke’s School staff and parents joined us for a walk in the woods to see what we could find.
We had a short break for snack…
…. remembering to clean our hands after our bug hunt.
We then had a story about The Stick Man who lived in the woods.
We then looked for the Stick Man in the trees and bushes and found him in a tree. ?
There he is!
The children found lots of interesting things as they investigated with the magnifying glasses they used. Fungi, bugs, worms, a Hawthorn Shield Bug on a tree. They found dens that other people had made.
We all walked back to our nursery singing songs along the way.
Oh no! We left Stick Man behind.
Don’t worry, a search was held and he was found waiting by a tree.
Stick Man had a lovely car ride back to our children.
