Person hit by train between Ainsdale and Freshfield

Cancellations to services between Freshfield and Ainsdale

Due to reports of a person being hit by a train between Freshfield and Ainsdale the Southport and Hunts Cross line is disrupted.

Impact:

Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or terminated at and started back from Hall Road.

Disruption is expected until 23:00 28/03.
Customer Advice:

Owing to reports of a person being struck by a train in the Freshfield area, services on the Southport Line are currently suspended between Hall Road and Southport.

A rail replacement bus service has been requested but is not yet in operation.
