Three finalists for the People’s Health Hero category at the 11th annual Time to Shine Awards at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust have been announced.
Nominated by members of the public, the final three will attend an awards ceremony on 18 October at Formby Hall. The overall winner, chosen by a panel of board members at the Trust, will then be announced.
The finalists:
- The HALT team (hospital alcohol liaison team)
- Lynn Sugden in the Medical Day Unit
- Lyn Hooten and the DVT team
Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Strategy Therese Patten said: “We had nearly 100 nominations this year, and it was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to just three; all our staff are worthy of an award in my opinion.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to share theirappreciation for our hard working staff and teams. We hope that all of those nominated will take pride in the fact that their dedication to care has been appreciated.”
