Pensioner knocked down in Cambridge Road car park

North West Ambulance Service rapid response vehicle were called to an incident on Cambridge Road in Southport after reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car, Monday 11 April 2106.

The incident was logged at 16:46 outside the spa on Cambridge Road where paramedics treated an elderly man in his 80s for minor injuries after he was knocked over by a car. He hit is head on the pavement and was assessed on scene. Members of the public comforted the man and sat him in the back of a taxi whilst they waited for paramedics to turn up. He was later taken home by a family member and did not need hospital attention.
