PCSO’s Doing Great Work In Southport

28th March 2020

Yesterday, (Friday 27th) in Southport, a man who was outstanding as wanted for breach of a court warrant was spotted in the town centre by one of our PCSO’s and subsequently detained by another two PCSO’s who were also on foot patrol in the town centre. He was subsequently arrested and remanded in custody.

Shortly after this, the same two PCSO’s detained a 45 year old man on suspicion of theft from a local shop. The man had his details verified by Police Constables from our team and will be interviewed over the incident at a later date, in order to keep the custody system clear. The goods were returned to the store.

On another note, PCSO 0192 helped to obtain a food package from the foodbank at Shoreline Church on Mornington Road, for a 90 year old lady who has recently lost her brother. Arrangements have been made for her to get further food packages delivered in the coming weeks, due to her vulnerability in the current situation.
