From the 1st April Parenting 2000 will no longer be responsible for organising services/activities for families with pre school age children.
One parent said: “Parenting 2000 has been amazing for me… helping me after my son got knocked down become a stronger person and then again when I having real problems with my daughter.
I owe them so much, without them I would not of got though it, even now they are helping me get into college to get a job and become my own independent woman.”
Another parent on facebook said: “I woke up to find parenting 2000 on Mornington Road is closing down, I’m absolutely heart-broken, they where there for me from the day Oliver was a baby they supported me when ever I needed them.
“I wouldn’t have known what to do without their love and support for me as a single parent. I felt parenting 2000 was my other home and they were all my family.
“They ran a special time for parents, of the many sessions they provided for parents and children with disabilities.
I can’t express the hard work and dedication the staff have for everyone who needed them they where your friend, councillor, nurse, cook and teacher therapeutic and event organiser all rolled into one with love.
I’ll do anything to see this amazing place not closed down of no fault of their own.
