Parenting 2000 have released an online statement following OTSNews reporting on parenting 2000 shake up
Following last weekend’s online news coverage regarding our future, we would like to clarify our position re the support we will offer from April 2016 (as outlined in a two page letter given out to parents last Friday).
Unfortunately we will no longer be managing Children’s Centre services. From April 2016, families with children aged 5 and under will be looked after by Linaker Children’s Centre. The location of where these services are to be delivered is still being discussed. Families will be notified when more information becomes available.
Our other services will be continuing as before. These include, Special Time, the management and installation of Home Safety Equipment, Handy Help Service and C-Card. We will still be working with our partner agencies as outlined in the attached letter, and rooms will still be available for organisations that are currently hiring them.
As mentioned above, we will continue to update our families and partner agencies when more information becomes available.
We would also like to draw attention again to the full letter that went out on Friday, and would very much appreciate that it is kept in context and quoted in its entirety by the press.
Many thanks to our families and partner agencies and organisations for your ongoing support at this time.
