Paramedics called after elderly man collapses in Southport

Paramedics were called to Hoghton Street Southport after a pensioner took ill whilst on his way into the town centre, Thursday 31 March 2016.

The man who suffers from heart condition collapsed shortly after 11am outside County Financial Services, luckily employee Peter Mangham-Jones spotted the man in distress and called 999 and his family.

Peter said: “Anyone would do the same…paramedics arrived within minutes and took over the situation”.

The casualty was taken to Southport hospital for treatment.
