Opportunistic tool thieves target Birkdale tradesman
Police are hunting a group of opportunistic tool thieves after a tradesman’s van was broken into in Birkdale last night.
The unknown culprits broke into the white transit under cover of darkness by bending the lock into an irreparable state before accessing the vehicles contents.
All the tools that were inside were taken in the heartless raid – all that was left was a gym bag and ladder which they could not make off with.
The family of the victim are desperate for help as the tools are a staple of their father’s livelihood and without them he is unable to work.
The incident happened on Central Avenue in Birkdale last night (Monday June 26th) and officers from Merseyside Police are investigating.
They are asking anyone with any information to come forward and get in touch by calling them on 101.
