Residents who want to apply or access any online Sefton Council services can now do so at the two One Stop Shops located in Bootle and Southport.

Six self serve PCs have just been installed at the One Stop Shop on Stanley Road, Bootle and two at the facility in Southport in Cambridge Arcade.   The computers are very user friendly and allow residents to apply and access online services with the click of a button.

This can include anything from applying for Housing or Council Tax Benefits to booking a ‘Bulky Item’ request. Other services residents can use include: paying your Council Tax bill, applying for a food waste bin, reporting incidents of dog fouling, applying for a copy of a birth or death certificate or to just inform Sefton Council of a change of address.

There is no need to book and customers can freely use them at either One Stop Shop from 9am-5pm from Monday-Friday.

Clear and precise instructions are displayed above each computer and staff are available should any users run into any problems or need assistance.   Cllr Paul Tweed, Cabinet Member Corporate Services and Performance, said: “The recently installed computers are very user friendly and allow residents to freely access or apply for the many services we offer. However there are staff at hand should customers need any form of assistance.

“The self serve computers are free to use and I hope as many people as possible take advantage of this service.   “This is another way in which we are developing services to make them more efficient and easy to use for our residents.”
