Oh Dairy Me!

Staff at Bates have proved the old adage that there’s no use crying over spilt milk by making light of a lorry blunder yesterday.

OTS reported yesterday how a Bates Milk Van had ‘semi-skinned’ into a bridge on Cobden Street after the driver ignored low level warnings.

But as nobody was hurt and the van was swiftly removed, managers at Bates have now had time to see the funny side of things!

Owner Chris Bates milked the the blunder on Facebook after depot drivers created a makeshift ‘low bridge’ out of milk crates to give their drivers some much needed extra hazard awareness training.

The pint size bridge will hopefully be enough to make drivers more aware of low bridges.
Not only can Bates deliver milk – but they also deliver a good laugh!
