Notorious Southport church burglar Danny Hawkshaw arrested after going on the run.

Danny Hawkshaw (22) who failed to appear in court in relations to a number of church burglaries in Southport has been located.

Hawkshaw was arrested over the Christmas period and will be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 13th January.

Father and son duo Gregory(45) and Danny Hawkshaw(22) admitted burgling twelve churches in the Southport area.

Father and son were due to learn their fate at Liverpool Crown Court in November for a thieving spree which saw them ransack places of worship in their home town but it has had to be postponed after Danny Hawkshaw, of Sandbrook Road in Ainsdale in Southport went on the run.

The judge had no choice but to adjourn the case and issued a warrant for the arrest of the drug addict.

The pair targeted churches across Ainsdale, Scarisbrick and Southport , making off with hundreds of pounds in cash plus laptops televisions projectors.
