Nine Southport buildings repurposed into ‘warm hubs’ for freezing residents

Nine buildings and community centres in Southport will be repurposed into specialist ‘warm hubs’ to help residents who cant heat their own homes.

All ‘Warm Spaces’ will be heated, safe and friendly places where you can comfortably spend time reading, studying or chatting with others. Some venues, our ‘Enhanced’ Warm Spaces, will also offer hot drinks and food, activities, and other services such as free Wi-Fi.

Basic Hubs will provide access to a warm space and at some venues hot drinks and snacks.

The Atkinson, Holy Trinity Church and Leyland Road church are among those venues in Southport who will open their doors.
