More newspapers dumped in Ainsdale

5th September 2018

Yet again, Midweek Visiter newspapers are being discarded in Southport. A quantity was discovered recently in a passageway bin off Liverpool Road.

Fly tipping of this (largely Liverpool – based) newspaper has also been a problem in Southport for years.

Nobody was ever fooled when the once fabled Visiter promised they would stay loyal to Southport. Promises were made that when the iconic Tulketh Street building closed for good, a pop up office on Lord Street would still man the paper was accessible for all.

Nobody was ever seen inside and now staff members at the Wig Shop next door have finally got fed up of residents going to the office in search of a journalist.

The sign reads ‘The Visiter office has closed down. Please contact the Liverpool Echo not the Wig Shop next door.’

It’s the latest blow for a paper, which has all but vanished from the Southport.
