Mighty Southport Radio launches this Thursday

Everything is set for the official launch tomorrow (Thursday) of Mighty Southport Radio, our town’s very own internet radio station.

Technical staff and presenters have been working hard for the past six months in preparation for Thursday’s “going live” ceremony at 10.30am.

The station will broadcast a mix of popular music plus features on local and national issues.

There will also be specialist shows featuring a wide range of music including rock, soul and punk. And the station will provide a much-needed and community-minded platform for our local musicians and bands.

The station used to be called Mighty FM and was based in a studio inside Southport Market.

It’s now housed just outside the town centre and embraces all the latest mobile technology, allowing listeners to access the station via their computers or their tablets and phones.
