New roof collapses on Southport Library

Part of the new roof on Southport Library has collapsed.

Sources close to OTS (Onthespot) reveal the library roof has collapsed causing water to leak inside the building. Water is seeping behind the main fuse boxes and also damaging the interior.

Refurbishment work is already five months behind costing the tax payers of Southport £13,500 a week in overrun penalties.

The Library was meant to be handed back over to Sefton Council at the end of January 2013   but this will now change for the third time and will set works back months.

As usual Sefton MBC would NOT comment on the matter.
