A new service to provide support to bereaved parents suffering early pregnancy loss has been launched at Ormskirk Hospital.

‘Cradle’ – founded by Southport mum Louise Zeniou – aims to comfort women and their partners who are trying to come to terms with the loss of their baby.

Louise was herself treated at Ormskirk Hospital in 2015.

The project which will be rolled out nationally, will see women who are receiving emergency care for early pregnancy loss, receive a comfort bag

the most important item in the bag is a letter entitled ‘Dear Friend’ which signposts women to support provided by Cradle ambassadors, who themselves have experienced pregnancy loss.
