UPDATE | Southport man missing in Warrington located

THE mum of a missing man has issued a heartfelt plea for his safe return.

Lesley Tyrer has called on the public to help find her 28-year-old son Jon Gillingham, who was last seen at Reef Bar in Warrington town centre at 5am on Sunday.

“It’s really unlike him not to get in touch with anyone,” said the mum-of-four.

“He was supposed to be picking up his little girl yesterday afternoon but we’ve not heard anything.

“He would have called if he couldn’t pick her up.”

It is understood Jon, from Southport, was out with a group of friends but the 28-year-old decided to stay out while his friends headed home in the early hours of Sunday.

He was wearing a pink T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

“If he is reading this then I just want him to get in touch,” said Lesley.

“Please let us know you are OK.”
