A Southport landlord famed for her charity work has revealed the vicious injuries she received during a brutal beating at her pub.

Much loved landlady Annie McTaggart was viciously assaulted by Southport woman Keighley Ball following an altercation at the Wellington pub on Eastbank Street in May of this year.

Yesterday Ball was given a community payback order and forced to pay £100 in damages in court.

A relieved Annie said “Ball was asked to leave my pub after putting a glass in a mans face , caused another fracas where a innocent man was hurt I asked her to leave the pub told her who I was and got this.

She also said if she would’ve got me on the floor she would stomped all over my face.

She never turned up to court last week so she had a warrant out for arrest.

“she went to court yesterday and was given a curfew from 8-8 till October 2019, an injunction not to come near the pub till 2021, £100 compensation and a community order of 30 hours .

“My victim impact statement wasn’t even picked up by police to read to the magistrates.

“I am 67 years of age run pubs all my life and these people come into your place of work and home and do this and basically they get away with it.”
