MP slammed for Falklands jaunt as Southport suffers

While Southport residents are being hit by a massive council tax rise, the town’s MP was nowhere to be seen.

Damien Moore, whose opposition call him the invisible man, was actually thousands of miles away in the Falklands after he said it’s what local veterans wanted him to do.

The Southport MP has joined other parliament members in the scheme to get a better understanding of how the forces work.

Damien said he was delighted to spend a week in the Falklands and posed in full army gear.

Back home his constituents just find out they’ll be paying hundreds of pounds more in council tax thanks to Tory cuts. Not to mention the latest MP pay rise…
