Sefton Council threw a bit of tarmac in the sink hole that appeared on Liverpool Road after OTS news reported it on September 11.

Today it has reappeared, hopefully it will be repaired properly in the near future before it causes a serious accident.

Motorists urged to take care – Large sink hole developing in Birkdale

Sink hole appears on Liverpool Road, Birkdale, Thursday 10 September 2015

Yet another sink hole has appeared on Liverpool Road close to the junction of Clifford Road and St Johns Road.

This part of the road was patched up only a couple of months back when the road collapsed due to the same problem.

The usual protocol is for United Utilities to carry out a dig and decide who is liable to pay for repair, either Sefton council or United Utilities.
