A local driver was left shaken after his car was attacked by an angry motorist yesterday evening.

The driver sounded his horn when he witnessed a bottle thrown from a Mercedes by McDonald’s in Kew, only to be chased towards Southport Crematorium.

On stopping, the Mercedes driver then attacked the car and angrily demanded the witness’ mobile phone.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:30pm on Sunday evening.

The driver that witnessed the bottle throw, who asked to remain anonymous, told OTS News: “The bottle was thrown out and it went on the road and pavement.  The driver then ran up to my car once I parked up by the Crematorium and opened my door, started punching the car and demanding my phone.

“I showed him I was on the phone to the police to which he slammed the door and punched it. I left him stood in the road after that.”
