Mother and daughter pageant duo raise phenomenal Salvation Army donation

12th July 2021

Local mum Sherie Bajinka and her daughter Siah have raised a phenomenal £5079 for the Salvation Army as part of their beauty pageant journeys.

Sherie took the charity crown and sash at the pageant as well as winning her age section “Classy Ms” and receiving the title of Pure United Kingdom National Classy Ms.

Siah was competing as Pure International Young Miss UK and has now become Pure United Kingdom Junior Teen GB. Both Sherie and Siah will now be competing in Ohio USA in July 2022.

In addition to their fundraising efforts, both have been active in the community, helping with donations to the food bank and Easter eggs to the church for children’s activity packs as well as litter picking.

14-year-old Christ the King high school student Siah has competed in Pageants for over 7 years having won several titles in that time.

When not competing in pageants, Sherie works on the stroke ward at Southport Hospital.

As well as their Salvation Army fundraising, Siah and Sherie have also been collecting unwanted items to ship in a container to Gambia and have set up their own charity called the Bo Foundation to help a village school and clinic in Gambia.

In order to continue their pageant journey and ensure they can raise as much for the charitable causes, Siah and Sherie are looking for any donations or business sponsorship to help with costs of dresses, jewellery, hair and makeup, hotel and flights or any donations towards charity collections for their Gambia project.

If anyone can help the fantastic mother and daughter duo, please get in touch with us and we will pass on your details to them.
