The number of travellers in Southport’s most expensive ‘Pay & Display’ car park is increasing, Sunday 27 March 2016.

A spokesman for Sefton Council on Wednesday 24 March said: “In line with our Unauthorised Encampment Policy, we have spoken to the Travellers at the Tulketh Street car park and have started the required legal process to ensure they can be moved on as quickly as possible.”

However shoppers will still have to pay & display in this car park, although travellers stay free of charge.
