More Southport arrests as local drug clampdown continues

Police have charged further people with drugs offences after a second series of warrants were executed in Sefton and Lancashire.

Last week 11 people were charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs following a series of warrants in the Sefton and Liverpool areas on Thursday 22nd October.

A further two people – Cara Wilding, 22, and Patrick Hill, 37, of The Larches, Hawarden, Flintshire were also later arrested.

Wilding has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class B drugs between 01/07/2018 and 23/10/2020. Hill and Wilding have also both charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs between 01/08/2020 and 22/10/2020.

In the second phase of the operation on Monday, 26th October, a further four warrants were executed at addresses across Sefton and Lancs.

Phillip Taylor, 36, of Station Road, Banks, James Nixon , 46, of Old School Close, Banks and Will Gardner, 24, of Hoghton Street, Southport, were all arrested and have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs between 1st July 2018 and 23rd October 2020.

Brandon Culshaw, 22, of Blackgate Lane, Tarleton and Stuart Stirling, 26, of Canning Road, Southport, were also charged with conspiring to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

A 33 year-old man has been released under investigation.
