Missing Merseyside teenager

Merseyside Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing a teenager from Huyton who has been missing for almost a week.

Michael Smith, aged 16, was last seen at 1pm on Tuesday 18th August and he has not been in touch since.

Michael is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build with blue eyes and dyed black hair which is shaved at the sides and longer on top with a quiff. He also has pierced ears and when he was last seen he was wearing a long-sleeved black t-shirt with a white ‘I LV NEW YORK’ logo in the middle, grey combat trousers and black boots.

He is known to have links to Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton, Skelmersdale and Lincolnshire and may have travelled outside of the Merseyside area.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Michael due to his young age and the length of the time he has not been seen and are appealing to the public to help find him.

Anyone who has seen a boy resembling Michael or knows where Michael himself is should call Merseyside Police on 101 and ask for the Knowsley control room. Alternatively call the Missing People charity on 116 000 or email 116000@missingpeople.org.uk
