Minor injuries after Kenilworth Road smash

Passengers have been taken to Southport hospital this evening (Tuesday 8 June) after losing control of their car and colliding with a transit van in Ainsdale.

The vehicle was travelling down Kenilworth Road in Ainsdale at around 9pm when the driver reportedly lost control and impacted with a parked van.

The impact was severe enough to cause all passenger side airbags to deploy.

Emergency services including fire crews and police were called to the quiet road, near to Shoreside Primary, just after 9pm.

OTS understands the occupants of the car were taken to hospital to be treated for shock and minor injuries.
