Michelle Harvey estate agents has now closed its Hoghton Street shop.

A Michelle Harvey estate agent on Hoghton Street has now closed. This news come not long after neighboring Whites estate agents closed. There are around thirty letting and estate agents in Southport all competing with one another. The majority of which all use the same databases were you can search for houses in the town, i.e. Rightmove or Zoopla.

If selling a house there are no big fees anymore its highly competitive resulting in less profit for the estate agents and the seller paying smaller fees.

Local estate agent Gavin McGuire owner of McGuire estates said:

“Its not nice to see any business in the town centre close. We currently average six sales per week that makes us one of the top performing estate agents in the town. It’s a very competitive market. Estate agents now have to work harder then ever”.
