Metfield Grange is a newly opened Day Centre caring for the elderly in the local community. They will be opening their doors on Christmas Day for free.

Friends of the Elderly say that 1 million older people live alone and around 500,000 will be spending Christmas Day alone. So Metfield Grange would like to invite anyone over the age of 65 who may be on their own, to come and join them on Christmas Day. The Christmas Day event is from 12 noon till 4 pm and will include a 3 course traditional Dinner, with carols, Christmas activities and a visit from Father Christmas with a small gift. Transport can also be arranged free of charge. Alexandra Wallace from Metfield Grange Day Centre who has organised the event said “no one should be alone on Christmas Day, don’t be shy get in touch to book your place.” The event will take place at Metfield Grange Day Centre, 59 Hartwood Road, Southport, PR9 9AW.

Anyone who may be spending Christmas alone or wants to enjoy Christmas Day in the company of others, please contact Alexandra or Darren on 01704 538691 or email alex@metfieldcare.co.uk
